I’ve begun to start blogging again & have come across some visuals that won’t allow me to embed them within my site. Of course, I did what I usually do in times like this: I complained.
I went to Twitter, tweeted about it, & left my thoughts to be consumed by the timeline. After a few hours I thought to myself, “How productive was that?”
Not only did I tweet that into the void, but I asked for something to be done with no explanation on how to do it. I still had a blog that has yet to be posted, & probably confused a lot of creatives that don’t know what embedding is.
I hope this post helps change that.
What is Youtube embedding?
YouTube embedding is a way for YouTube videos to be placed on other websites without the consumer having to leave said website. It’s a code that is copy & pasted within an app or web browser. The views still count, it can be paused, fast forwarded, all of that. It’s simply a way to place a video on a page.
Why is YouTube embedding important?
For artists & creatives alike, Youtube embedding is important for music videos. Specifically for blog placements! Is it how other sites & media outlets can showcase your visual on their site.
Below is a step by step guide I have created on how to turn on embedding via mobile devices & desktop for YouTube.
