So far, all fans know is that 5 Seconds of Summer is back with another countdown… Depending on what time zone you’re in, fans were either waking up to the 5SOS Instagram account archiving/deleting posts, or saw once everything was cleared out only to be left with one brand new post questioning whether or not 5SOS is still a band. These boys got jokes.
Some fans received an e-mail from yourfavoriteboyband.com stating “The time has come this is a moment of truth. Take the quiz to find out who your favorite boy band is.”
The quiz contained the following questions:
If you were a contestant on a TV talent show which one would you want to compete on?
Which role would you assume in a boyband?
The boyband dress code is…
How many members are in the band?
Which city should host the boybands big reunion show?
No matter the answers (as I took it multiple times), the quiz lead fans to an orange page that says, “Congratulations! Your favorite boyband is 5 Seconds of Summer. Are you not OK?” with a click here button that didn’t work for the first hour or so for many.
With many fans flooding the site and quiz, the landing page kept showing an error message, but real fans already knew the link.fans at the top of the web browser only means one thing: new music of course.
The yellow photo (from above) on 5SOS Instagram is the current landing page to 5sos.com. When fans click for proof, they are sent to a fan link pre-save page with yet another countdown to “5SOS is not OK” which you can pre-save here: https://link.fans/5sosisnotok. And with that a new 5SOS era is born.
The boys have changed their profile pictures, the band account has been wiped clean, and now we wait.One thing is for sure after all of this, these boys do know how to drag out the word soon.
