I wanted to do something a little fun & share my amusement park essentials since I’ll be visiting Six Flags this week! (Yes, I’m tall enough for the rides there.)
Here are some of the things that I’ll be bringing with me.

-
Backpack
I take a backpack to make sure I have enough room for everything I might need. If it’s big enough (that’s what she said), then I’ll also have room for a sweater, water, or any souvenirs that are won or bought at the park!
I have a backpack for each theme park that I go too.. I know, I know. I’m weird. Since I will be heading to Six Flags I’ll be taking one of my Batman backpacks.
-
Portable Charger
Let’s not try to deny it, was I really enjoying myself if I didn’t document it for all of social media to see? Pics or it didn’t happen!
Not only that, I like to make sure everyone’s phone has enough charge in case someone gets separated from the group.
(My portable charger is a MyCharge brand that I purchased from Target. Depending on how much you’d like to spend on a charger the prices vary.)
-
Hand Wallet
I only carry the necessities. I’ll have my I.D., one credit card, & $20.00 in cash. I usually bring a wallet that has a zipper so nothing falls out when it’s in the backpack & is big enough to place my keys in. I hate tearing my backpack apart searching for my keys at the end of the day.
-
Gum
Yes gum. In case that cute guy behind me wants to start a conversation.. Pfft yeah right. Let me be real with you.
What makes me not want to spend money on things I shouldn’t be eating anyway? Gum. If I’m already chewing something, then I feel the need to not eat junk. Also, fresh breath yo. Fresh breath.
-
Sanitizer/Wipes
I’m not a germaphob or anything but when waiting in line, everyone & I mean EVERYONE is leaning, touching, or holding on the rails, handles, fences whatever that is there. After a while I don’t feel clean & I need to wash my hands immediately.
Okay, maybe I am a slight germaphob.
They’re also handy to have after I’ve just devoured an ice cream funnel cake & the dry napkins aren’t helping much with cleaning up. Which shouldn’t happen because your girl brings gum, right?
Either way, whether I’m near a restroom or not wipes & sanitizer are a must.
-
Mirror
I hardly wear any makeup to begin with, but when I go to amusement parks I keep it minimal. Like, really really minimal.
The rides usually make my eyes really watery which then makes it seem like I arrived after my Joker audition. Not cute.
A mirror is always nice to have to check if my mascara is running or for a teeth check after meal. (Or to check someone out behind you by pretending to fix your face… but you didn’t hear it from me.)
-
Hair tie
I always have a hair tie on my wrist but just in case I somehow forget to bring one (it has happened before), I place one within my wallet. From all the walking & rides I eventually will become frustrated & want to put my hair up. I just know.
-
My Allergy Medicine
My epipen & benadryl are what I always have to carry with me, it’s literally life or death. Plus the one time I didn’t I actually had an allergic reaction & almost died. (We’ll save that story for another time.)
Doctors were never able to tell me what I was allergic to, but over time I know the few things that trigger my reactions. The last thing I want to do is ruin the fun & have to be rushed to emergency. It’s not fun.
I know you’re probably thinking, “Only eight little items for that backpack!”
Well, let me inform you that I will be visiting Six Flags with my two brothers & cousin. I need to make sure I have enough room for my items & theirs. I can guarantee I’ll be holding multiple chargers, water bottles, & hoodies all day.
I won’t put all the blame on them either, being the Batman lover that I am I’ll most likely be purchasing some items too.

I’m looking forward to spending time with my family this week! With them there’s never a dull moment. Here’s to hoping it’s not too hot, & the lines aren’t too long!
