Posted by I had the chance to finally visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood. I was filled with so many mixed emotions! I was so excited that I couldn’t sleep! I was also frustrated as I didn’t have robes or a wand to be in character.. (Yes, I’m a proud nerd.) No matter, I made the best out of my experience. You can watch my vlog on it here.
Conductor: Ah. A fellow Hufflepuff I see! Wonderful!
Me: Mmm Hmm.
Conductor: Is that a potion you wear?
Me: You can say that, it’s good luck. Honey mixed with gold.
Conductor: Hmm. Odd, very well then. I’m afraid I didn’t catch your name.
Me: Irene.
Conductor: Ah Irene. Lovely! Your arm love! Off we go!

I used Muggle Plastic (credit card) to purchase my wand, and the wizard cashier said, “You are aware that there will be no foolish wand waving or magic used around Muggles, correct? The Ministry has strict laws and there will be punishment if these laws are broken.”
